(Schedule subject to change)
NEW WORKSHOP - (Friday at 7:30 p.m.)
ISLAM 101 - MUSLIMS, BOOKS, PROPHETS, TEMPLES, AND JESUS
Presenter: Arley Loewen (PhD)
In a dynamic presentation, we compare the Islamic and Christian understandings of revelation with the Christian theology of incarnation. From revelation, we then compare the Islamic practice of faith and deeds with Christian praxis and theology of the church. Finally, we contrast Mohammad and Jesus’ approaches to conflict and the enemy. The question before us is: How Christ-like are we today? Rather than heavy theology or alarming politics, this engaging and interactive lesson offers a concise introduction to the Muslim faith. We highlight a clear missional calling for Christ-followers.

Come hear about life in a war-torn Muslim country, with illuminating perspective from the Bible on refugees. This seminar concludes with a look at how the church can make the biggest impact in the refugee crisis today.
